Al Shaab - Al Arabi Umm

UAE President Cup qualifiers. Al Arabi Umm are back in the second division of UAE football after some years of break. Of course they are not ready yet and those games from the President Cup are a good preparations for them before the league will start. Al Arabi have failed to complete their foreign quota so far. Before the first official game of the season (the 0-3 defeat against Al Fujairah) they have signed just one foreign player, Simon Pierre Feindouno. This week they have completed the signing of Senegalese player Abdoulaye Ndione, but I don't think he will improve too much the overall quality of the team. Al Shaab were relegate from the first division, but they have one of the best squads from the second division and for sure they will fight to win promotion and I think will be in top 3 along with Al Fujairah. Al Shaab have signed good foreigners for this level of play like Zoumana Koné, Alassane Diallo and Omar Najdi. They have signed local good players as well and the most important signing is the left-back Saif Mohamed from first division club Al Dhafra. As I have said before Al Arabi have lost clearly against Fujairah the first match. I rate Al Shaab about at the same level with Al Fujairah. They are clearly a better side than Al Arabi. Let's see if this superiority will be seen on the field as well.
