Former ACL winners WSW were trashed by Sydney FC in the derby, but I think that was pretty harsh as the match wasn't so unbalanced as the score line is suggesting. In fact, Sydney FC keeper + two defenders were named in the team of the week by A-League site and that's says a lot. WSW have a lot of potential up-front and in a good day they can score goals, especially thanks to the new Japanese boy Kusukami, a player which wasn't very impressive in the J-League, but should thrive in the A-League as Shinji Ono did for the same WSW. Jumpei was also named in the team of the week. Former Rapid Bucharest defender Artiz Borda is suspended, but match-fixing defender Topor (http://cdn1.caon.ro/2013/11/topor.jpg) will return after one match ban. Adelaide are the defending champions, but they have lost some key players from the last season and I don't think they will win the title again this campaign. They have signed Guardiola + other players, but I don't think they have the same potential this season. Also, their best player Marcelo Carrusca is currently injured and that's a huge loss for them. I think the diminutive Brazilian Henrique (signed from Roar) can be dangerous only starting from the bench, but who knows maybe he will make the difference if he will start. The history says something else anyway. Defenders Michael Marrone and Elsey are also injured. I think United were lucky to face the Jets in the first round. Newcastle had off field problems before the start of the season and they haven't much quality in their squad, especially as their experienced Danish striker Morten Nordstrand couldn't play against them. Even so Newcastle have played well against Amor's side. The last match between these two sides was last season's Grand Final. Adelaide have won by 3 goals to 1, but things have changed since then and Adeilade doesn't seems to be so stronger at the moment. I think we will see a different story this time.
