Quarter-finals of the Copa America. Argentina opened with a 2-2 draw against Paraguay, then followed that up with pragmatic 1-0 victories over Uruguay and Jamaica. It’s not been the prettiest or most clinical stuff from them and we still haven’t seen Lionel Messi score from open play. His one goal came from the penalty spot against Paraguay. Colombia’s failure to beat Peru and their loss against Venezuela showed some frailties, mostly in their mental approach to the game more than anything. Argentina are unbeaten in their last four against Colombia, winning two and drawing two.
