Cobresal started life without Arturo Norambuena in charge with an impressive and comfortable win over Santiago Wanderers. It was just the third league win of the season for the champions, having suffered five defeats in their previous seven matches. The club have won two and lost two at home so far this campaign, but they have boasted a strong record at home over the years where heat and altitude certainly plays a part in the summer months that are coming up. Audax Italiano bounced back from their narrow defeat to O’Higgins with victory against Iquique in the league. Since then they have suffered a heart-breaking penalty shootout defeat to rivals Union Espanola over two legs in the quarter-finals of the Copa Chile and it will be interesting how Audax now respond in the league.
