Falkenbergs - Goteborg

Falkenbergs has two big losses in a row now. First 0-3 away against Hammarby and then 0-4 away against Kalmar. The result against Kalmar was perhaps a couple of goals too big to reflect the event on the pitch but Falkenbergs nevertheless made a poor performance.

Maybe reality is slowly catching in on them. I would say they have less resources and a weaker squad than all other teams. But they survived last year due to hard work and so far they have managed ok with that attitude this year as well. It can’t work for ever. They will probably continue to steal some points every now and then and they are actually better against good teams, like Goteborg, when they can defend and counter attack.

Goteborg played 2-2 away against Norrkoping in the top game. It says something about the game that both coaches thought they “should” have won after the game. It was a much better game, from both teams, than when they played against each other two weeks ago. Goteborg has three ties since the league started again after the June break. This is not good enough for the league leaders but they should not worry too much, they had a good opponent in two of the games.

Falkenbergs could actually fight so hard here so they keep one point. It could happen. But the first tip is of course a Goteborg win especially in the light of all the missing Falkenbergs players.
