FC Astana - Galatasaray

Astana managed to avoid the big European teams on their road to the Champions League group stages, but now they're in the group stages they can't rely on luck to keep them out of trouble. They lost their opener against Benfica thanks to goals from Nicolas Gaitan and Kostas Mitroglou, but the fact that they managed to hold the Portuguese side until after half time shows the determination of Astana. Galatasaray have won their last two matches, beating Trabzonspor and Gaziantepspor in the Super Liga to lift them to 4th position after a poor start to the season. They have picked up 11 points from their opening six games, but their back to back victories could have put them back on track to start properly defending their title. They also lost their Champions League opener by two goals to nil, with a first half double from Antoine Griezmann settling their game against Atletico Madrid. Galatasaray have more quality in their squad than Astana, Galatasaray have the quality to see off the Kazakhstan outfit. Their chances are made even better by the fact that the home side are struggling for form at the moment.
