Ireland - Georgia

Georgia did the Irish a massive favour on Friday night by beating Scotland in Tbilisi. That has allowed Ireland to re-take 3rd place in the group and if they can complete the double over Georgia here then they will be in pole position to make the play-offs. Ireland haven't been particularly impressive under Martin O'Neill. They picked up a routine 4-0 win away to whipping boys Gibraltar on Friday but having already failed to win home games with Poland and Scotland, they will know that they cannot afford a slip-up here. Irish football may not be in a great state right now but they should still have the edge over Georgia who have been unimpressive in this group before their win against the Scots, who have a habit of tripping up in those types of games. Ireland won 2-1 in Georgia on matchday 1 thanks to an Aiden McGeady brace and have just a little bit of extra quality that may prove decisive.
