Kalmar - Hammarby

Kalmar lost away against Norrkoping with 2-1 in the last round. It was not a discussable win at all. Norrkoping was much better and Kalmar’s shortcomings on the midfield became obvious.

Hammarby played 2-2 at home against Halmstads. It was a game between two teams with bad self-confidence after several losses lately. Hammarby’s goal keeper Tim Markstrom saved the home team at several occasions. Hammarby equalized five minutes after midfielder Kennedy Bakircioglu came in. They are exceptionally dependent on him; because he is a great player but also because of his moral authority on the pitch. He gives calmness to his team mates. He will probably be able to play more than 25 minutes this time. That would mean a lot.

Before the loss against Norrkoping, Kalmar had two straight wins. One of them was against the champions Malmo. I believe their good trend will continue here. Hammarby doesn’t have the energy and determination at the moment to turn their bad trend around, even if Bakirciouglu plays the whole game.  Kalmar wins.
