Monaco - Lorient

Monaco and Lorient have each been involved with a high number of draws through their respective seasons so far. Monaco because they've been unable to finish off games in which they have controlled, Lorient because they are very capable of battling to draws in games which they shouldn't be in based on possession and chances. A 1-0 win over Gazalec Ajaccio last weekend gave Monaco their first win of the season since the opener. It wasn't much of an achievement either, Ajaccio are newly-promoted, have just one point and are still seeking their first goal in the top flight this season. This young Monaco side is undoubtedly talented, but they are missing something in the cutting edge department. Maybe it will come with time, but this is a difficult opponent. Lorient are perennial battlers against relegation and it seems like they are destined for a similar challenge in 2015-16. They've picked up one win and two draws in their first five games, but it'll be a shut up shop sort of a day on their trip to Monaco Sunday.
