Newcastle Utd - Chelsea

Newcastle's fairly impressive 2-2 draw with Southampton on the opening day of the season seems a lifetime ago. Apart from their goalless draw with Manchester United, it has all been downhill for the Toon Army. They have lost all but these two Premier League matches, and to cap it off let Sheffield Wednesday get the better of them on on Wednesday as they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup. Chelsea have finally managed to get their act together and start winning matches after a dreadful start to their Premier League title defence. They picked up just four points from a possible 15 at the start of the season, but a 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv seems to have recovered some of their lost confidence. They beat Arsenal 2-0 last weekend, in the process keeping their first clean sheet of the league domestic season, and followed this up with a 4-1 victory over Walsall in the Capital One Cup. Chelsea have now scored ten in their last three games, and with defensive problems of their own plaguing them early in the season I think this game could be a goalfest. Chelsea win.
