As expected Nimes started with a positive result in 2016. But this tend to became a tradition, Nimes having for most of the time in recent past 3 wins in 4 rounds played in January (I think with one exception). Hosting Brest, they clearly won 2-0 after a game in one direction. Nimes pressed a lot since the beginning of the game but in first half they missed all 5-6 good opportunity to open the score. After the break the continued in sa me manner Koura opening the score with 20 mins to go. They kept Brest far away of their goal, Andane and Co having no real chances almost till the end of the game. Finished 2-0 a good result for Nimes came after a good game. So they remain tough enough at home wining 2 times drew 7 games and losing once.

Now they have a difficult task hosting in form Clermont.

A Clermont who had no mercy playing at home against Evian, smashing them 4-1. A perfect first half when they scored 4 times taking advantage of all holes from the Evian defense. After the break they slow down a bit but still scored once again but in the wrong goal. Amazing power in attack for Clermont who scored 10 times in last 3 games, being now in a run of 5 consecutive undefeated games with 4 wins in the process. Thanks to these good results they are on a promotion spot 3rd, at only 4 points behind 2nd spot occupied by Dijon. On the road they won twice, lost twice and drew 4 times, being weaker than in previous seasons.
