After not a great day yesterday, I'm back with another two tips for tonight reguarding NBA. The Blazers will face the Pelicans for their 4th match of the season.
Portand Trail Blazers started very good this season. They have a 2-1 record as they lost only the last match against Milwaukee Bucks 113-110. Before that loss, they have destroyed 96-114 Indiana Pacers and 76-124 Phoenix Suns. All of these 3 matches were away from home and they have played very good. This will be their first home match of the season and I see them playing very good. Lillard is in amazing form and it's very hard to stop him when playing this way. Also, we have to say that Blazers have much more better players than Pelicans so should be clear favourite to win this one.
New Orleans Pelicans, on the other hand, have a 1-2 record. Their only win came against Los Angeles Lakers 112-119. Before that win, they have lost 103-91 against Memphis Grizzlies and 120-128 against Golden State Warriors. Their defense was very bad in every single match.
Since 2011, these two teams met 12 times with Trail Blazers playing at home and Portland won 11 of these matches. Their only loss came last season 100-103 (Pelicans outscored them only in the 4th quarter). Pelicans usually suffer a lot when playing away from home (as they did last season) and I don't see them taking a win in this clash.
I see Portland Trail Blazers in much more better form atm and they are playing very high level of basketball. Also, they will be fully motivated as this will be their first home game of the season and they will not fail this one. I see them winning with at least 5 points of difference. Line handicap is very good but if you don't want to risk just bet on Trail Blazers to win it.
Prediction: New Orleans Pelicans 108-115 Portland Trail Blazers
