Rangers - St Johnstone

This League cup clash will be the biggest test so far this season for Mark Warburton’s Rangers, even this early in the season they look like champions elect, having brushed everyone in the Championship aside so far. St.Johnstone are currently mid-table in the SPL after losing at the weekend to Kilmarnock. The SPL is particularly tight as the gap between 3rd and 11th is only 10 points. St.Johnstone manager Tommy Wright won’t want to lose against lower league opposition, that said Rangers are not like any normal Championship side when you travel to Ibrox with 42,000 people under the lights. I think that this will be closer than the bookies think but Rangers will win, they look all set for their SPL return. Ibrox can be a daunting place under the lights and the old firm giants will want to put a display on for the fans that have stuck by them.
