Rapid Vienna - Shakhtar

A tough one to call here as Rapid Wien may be massive underdogs against Champions League veterans Shakhtar Donetsk but the Austrian side did take a massive scalp in the last round when they beat Ajax in Ajax to get through to this last qualifying round. Rapid gave an unbelieveable performance in the last round to get through as they put in two terrific performances to beat Ajax over the two legs. Shakhtar have started the season poorly in the Ukraine lying third in the league table but they had an impressive win over Fenerbahce in the last round. Shakhtar Donetsk are one of the teams that have consistantly qualified for the kncokout stages of the competition and this is a second tough qualifying fixture in a row. Shakhtar are favourites to win this one in Wien but it is a tough fixture and one I wouldnt like to be taking an away favourite in. I think the value play of the night is to take both teams to score, both sides look like they have plenty of attacking talent and I think that given how well Wien played against Ajax in the last round have to like them to at least get a goal or two against Shakhtar who have so much talent up front they should find the net themselves.
