Tennis action this afternoon with the QF of the Rio De Janeiro clay court tournament. This is a challenger tournament, firstly scheduled on clay outdoor but due to weather conditions the challenger changed his venue and now's playing into indoors clay court so big difference with the outdoors.
First match of the afternoon will see Peter Torebko #372 against Ramirez Ruben Hidalgo #273
Peter Torebko is in stunning form and he is the guy I'm going to tip here. 11/2 ratio on clay since the start of the season, the former #182 enjoy the start of the season as he is looking to get some points back.
He is playing much more better then his ranking and the conditions of the indoors clay is perfect for him as he is a amazing indoors court player and a clay court specialist also.
Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo is now 38, he is at the end of his career and his rankings drop every year as he is play some ITF quite a lot. He did well to reach the QF but I think the value is on the german torebko here.
Only problem is that Torebko spend 6 hours on court in 2 days so he might feel a bit tired in his legs but if not I see him win this match.
