Tottenham - Stoke City

Old Trafford is certainly a difficult place to begin you Premier League campaign, but that's no excuse for Spurs' performance against them last weekend. They failed to threaten Manchester United's defence with any regularity whatsoever, and after Christian Eriksen spurned an early opportunity it took them nearly an hour to get another shot away. Manchester United's weren't much better, but the fact that they took a first half lead at least offers an explanation as to why they weren't attacking with more determination. Stoke have no shortage of players to provide pace and drive to their attack. Their summer spending spree is causing the eyes of everyone in the Britannia Stadium to light up. Ibrahim Afellay, and Xherdan Shaqiri are 2 potentially top class players, and the signing of Joselu along with the recovery of Bojan provide them with someone to finish the chances their wingers create. Unfortunately this didn't help against Liverpool on Sunday. Although they certainly deserved something from the game. Pick Tottenham win&over 2.5.
